About us
We are the phone number that finds you a plumber
Not a franchise, not a national call center reading a script, and not a plumbing contractor. One Kentucky number, answered around the clock, that works out what is wrong with your house and puts you onto an independent local plumbing business that can actually fix it.
Statewide · open 24 hours · the call and the referral are free.
Why we exist
Kentucky houses do not break the same way
Most plumbing directories treat the state as one market. It is at least six.
Limestone and karst
Through the Bluegrass and the cave country, ground water moves through rock, not soil. Wells, septic fields and buried lines behave in ways a crew from a flat clay market guesses wrong.
Combined sewers
In older Louisville and Covington neighborhoods a hard downpour backs the street main up into the lowest opening in the house. That is a backwater valve conversation, not a drain cleaning.
Mountain and hillside
East of the Cumberland, houses sit on cut benches and fill. Lines move with the hillside, freeze depth is real, and access is often the hardest part of the job.
This is why we sort by place first. Tell us the town and the symptom and the shortlist gets very short, very fast.
Call NowVetting
What a plumber has to clear to get calls from us
Licence and insurance, checked not claimed
A current Kentucky plumbing licence appropriate to the work, plus liability cover. We ask for the numbers and we look them up. No paperwork, no calls.
A real service radius
Anyone who says they cover the entire Commonwealth covers none of it well. We want the towns they can actually reach, and we hold them to it, a two-hour drive to a burst pipe is not a referral, it is an apology.
Equipment that matches the symptom
Root intrusion needs a camera and a jetter. A slab leak needs acoustic or tracer-gas location. A failed grinder pump needs someone who has pulled one before. We match on capability, not availability.
Pricing said out loud
They quote you before they start, in terms you agreed to. We do not set their prices and we do not take a cut of your invoice, but we do stop sending calls to companies that surprise people.
Ongoing, not one-off
Every complaint is logged against the company, not filed away. Repeat problems end the relationship. It is the only leverage a referral service actually has, and we use it.
What we do not do
We do not sell your details to the highest bidder, we do not run an auction where four companies cold-call you, and we do not pretend to be a local business in a town we have never been to. One call, one referral.
Straight answers
Questions people ask before they trust a referral
No. Kentucky Plumbing HQ is a referral service. We take the call, work out what is actually wrong and where you are, and connect you with an independent plumbing business that works that area. The company that arrives bills you directly and is responsible for the work.
No. The call and the referral are free to you. Any price for actual work is quoted by the plumbing business that takes the job, and you agree it with them before anything starts.
By whether they are licensed and insured for the work, whether they genuinely cover that town rather than claiming the whole state, and whether they have the specific equipment the symptom needs, a camera and jetter for a root-blocked line, tracer gas for a slab leak, and so on.
Raise it with the plumbing business directly first, since they hold the contract and any warranty. Tell us too, we use it. A company that generates complaints stops receiving calls from us.
The whole state. There are pages here for more than five hundred Kentucky towns because a ridge road in Letcher County and a street in Old Louisville break in completely different ways, and the right plumber for one is not the right plumber for the other.
Something wrong right now?
We are open 24 hours and the call costs nothing. Tell us the town and the symptom.
