Terms of Service
The short version: we introduce you to a plumber, the plumber does the work, and your contract for that work is with them and not with us. The rest of this page says the same thing carefully.
Last updated 16 September 2026.
Agreement to these terms
By using kentuckyplumbinghq.com or calling (844) 924-3770, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms sit alongside our Privacy Policy.
What this service is
Kentucky Plumbing HQ is a referral and matching service. You tell us where you are and what your plumbing is doing. We use that to identify an independent plumbing business that is licensed for the work, covers your area, and carries the right equipment, and we introduce you to them. The introduction is free to you.
What this service is not
- We are not a plumbing contractor. We hold no plumbing licence, employ no plumbers, and perform no plumbing work.
- We are not an agent of any plumbing business, and no plumbing business is our agent. Each is independent.
- We are not a guarantor of any plumber’s work, pricing, timekeeping, conduct, licensing status or insurance cover on the day.
- We do not supervise, direct or inspect work carried out at your property.
Your contract is with the plumber
When you engage a plumbing business we introduced you to, you enter a contract directly with that business. All rights and obligations relating to the work, scope, price, timing, workmanship, warranty, guarantees, insurance claims and dispute resolution, are between you and them.
We vet the businesses we refer to and we act on complaints, but vetting is not a guarantee. Verify licence and insurance yourself before work starts if that matters to you; any plumber worth using will produce both without hesitation.
Pricing, quotes and payment
We do not set prices and we take no share of your invoice. Any figure quoted on this site is general context, not an offer. Get the price in writing from the plumbing business before work begins, and pay them directly. Never pay us for plumbing work, we will never ask you to.
Emergencies and safety
This service is not an emergency service in the 911 sense. If you smell gas, if water is near live electrics, if a ceiling is bowing, or if anyone is at risk, call 911 or your utility’s emergency line first. Nothing on this site is a substitute for that. Response times are best efforts and depend on weather, road conditions, distance and demand.
Permits, codes and inspections
Kentucky requirements for permits, inspections, sewer responsibility, backflow prevention and septic systems vary between cities, counties and water districts. We do not advise on yours. Confirm with your local authority or water district; where a permit is needed, the plumbing business you engage is responsible for pulling it.
Content on this site
The town, region and service pages here are general information about how Kentucky houses tend to fail. They are not a diagnosis of your property and not professional advice. Do not act on them alone. We try to keep them accurate but make no promise that everything is current or complete.
The text, layout, photographs and marks on this site belong to us or our licensors. You may read, print and share pages for your own non-commercial use. You may not scrape, republish, resell or build a derivative directory from this content.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service and this site are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, that a plumber will be available in any given area at any given time, or that any referral will resolve your problem.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Kentucky law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of property, water damage, lost income or lost data, arising out of or relating to the service, the site, or the acts or omissions of any plumbing business. Because the referral is free to you, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100).
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for our own fraud.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your use of the service in breach of these terms, or from a dispute between you and a plumbing business.
If you are a plumbing business
Receiving referrals from us requires a current Kentucky plumbing licence appropriate to the work, active liability insurance, an honest service area, and pricing quoted to the customer before work starts. You are an independent contractor, not our employee, partner or agent, and you may not describe yourself as Kentucky Plumbing HQ or imply that you are. We may stop sending you calls at any time, for any reason, including a pattern of complaints.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute with us will be brought in the state or federal courts sitting in Jefferson County, Kentucky, and you consent to that venue. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version, and continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
